On August 21-22, 2019, the East Siberian Chemical and Technical Laboratory division held a meeting for employees of chemical and technical laboratories of railways in Irkutsk. The topic “Laboratory control of products – the basis of quality and safety” was chosen as the key topic for the event.

The meeting was attended by the heads of chemical and technical laboratories of “Russian Railways” JSC, representatives of suppliers of laboratory equipment and experts of the Irkutsk Center for Standardization and Metrology. Specialists of the East Siberian Chemical and Toxicological Laboratory invited their colleagues to the laboratory to share their experience in using modern laboratory equipment for quality control of materials and laboratory control technologies. Currently, for quality control of lubricants, the following LinteL equipments are used in the laboratory: LinteL PN-10S, LinteL AKS-20, LinteL SK-20, LinteL Kaply-20U, and LinteL UPPS-10. Laboratory technicians of Irkutsk Chemical and Toxicological Laboratory noted that our devices have been working for more than 14 years and demonstrate the necessary indicators of reproducibility and convergence of test results.

Employees of LinteL delivered a report titled “The results of the implementation of LinteL LIMS system in the Krasnoyarsk Chemical and Toxicological Laboratory”. During the report, the results of the implementation of the pilot automation project in the Krasnoyarsk Chemical and Toxicological Laboratory were considered. According to the results of the report, the positive experience of the implementation of “LinteL LIMS” in the Krasnoyarsk Chemical and Toxicological Laboratory was noted and recommendations for the development of automation of chemical and technical laboratories of “Russian Railways” JSC were proposed.

New developments of quality control devices were presented:

• LinteL AP-10 Method for determination of vaporability (GOST 9566-74, GOST 23175-78)
• LinteL PTF-20 Cold Filter Plugging Point Tester (GOST EN 116-2013, GOST 22254-92, GOST R 54269-2010, GOST 33755-2016, ASTM D6371-99)
• LinteL PN-10МК Tester for determining the penetration of greases by micro cones (GOST ISO 2137-2013)

Following results of the meeting, the participants of the seminar shared their experience and prepared recommendations for the introduction of advanced technologies into the company's production activities.
